First Lady Evangelist
Dorothy J. Carroll
Evangelist Dorothy J. Carroll was married to the late Elder Mose Carroll, Jr., the former Pastor of New Highway Church of God in Christ, and she is the mother of three beautiful children, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Evangelist Carroll loves the Lord and the people of God and is honored that God blessed her with an opportunity to serve the Saints of God as a Pastor’s wife. She often says, “I’m humbled to be a servant for the people of God.”

In the local church, Evangelist Dorothy Carroll, serves as the President of Women in Action for Christ and the church treasurer. She is also an avid supporter of the Sunday School Department and is often seen doing whatever she can to help uplift God’s kingdom and support the church in various roles. Under the leadership of her Bishop and Pastor, Dr. Jerry L. Maynard, and State Supervisor Mother Deola Wells-Johnson, Evangelist Dorothy Carroll serves as the Tennessee Fourth Jurisdiction Chairperson of the Board of Examiners for aspiring evangelist missionaries and deaconess missionaries.

Most importantly, the Lord saved, sanctified, and filled Evangelist Carroll with the Holy Ghost in 1975. Shortly thereafter, she joined New Highway Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Superintendent Mose Carroll, Sr. Evangelist Carroll is often heard singing one of her favorite songs, "My Soul Loves Jesus," during her prayer hour.

God gave Evangelist Carroll a victorious testimony as he healed her from cancer. One of her favorite scriptures is Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man that he should lie neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good?” When faced with challenging times, this scripture ministers to her and is a constant reminder that God is always in control.

After stepping out on faith to seek an interview at a company for a position that was not available, the Lord blessed Evangelist Carroll with a career spanning thirty-two years with that company. As a firm believer in God and His promises, Evangelist Carroll stands with tremendous strength on His word, “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.” Of paramount significance, is Evangelist Carroll's appreciation and thanks to God for salvation through His Son Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Ghost.
